Tony Robinson’s Tour of Duty was a local production as part of the wider H100 – Centenary of WWI campaign. For the first time, The History channel and our in house creative team actively engaged the History audience. Travelling round the country Tony and the team hosted the Tour of Duty community roadshows. Tony encourages the locals to show off memorabilia, tell stories and share poignant recollections of their ancestors who fought the war at home and abroad. Focusing on the last century of war and war service in Australia – on the battlefield, and on the home front, Tony digs deep through the trenches in the towns and cities he visits making the locals the stars of the show.
All of the memorabilia was captured by the team for use on the interactive H100.TV website. In addition to creative directing the campaign, I concepted, directed and edited the launch spot.
